Ah, another weekend with Reggie...I've already taught him to say "We know it's wrong." Unfortunately, I was caught by the flashbulbs, still in a sleep daze cuddling this fellow and it looks like an ill-advised bong-smoking parody. Isn't he quite adorable though?
The events compacted into a weekend...I won't go into vivid details, rather catalogue it for myself and the voyeurs. I arrived in the afternoon Friday amidst a light drizzle of bad luck involving accidentally overnighting a compilation to a friend who is out of town for two weeks and finding it impossible to cut and paste drum clips on
Klocko picked up the best of Christopher Walken on Saturday Night Live which we watched into the wee hours and we managed to collect some gifts for my feline friend Diva, one of the most wonderful people I know, who has never had a proper birthday celebration, so I decided why not have a "I'm glad our paths crossed" day for her? I don't mention her nearly enough...even though she wakes me up every two hours, she's largely the reason I've never been late for work and one of my best friends.
Klocko snagged a copy of the new Gorillaz album the next day, I picked up the new Ren and Stimpy DVD collection and we embarked on our way to see the not-too-disappointing Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Whilst waiting for the film to start, Klocko and I hit up the local mall where I shyly averted eye contact with the MAC counter girls while buying a Gracious Me shade stick, Silver Ring and Print eyeshadows, and the very necessary Lipglass lipgloss. As I mentioned above, C&C Factory (oooh, you know what I want to say!) wasn't as bad as I imagined it could be and had some rather catchy tunes courtesy of Danny Elfman. Klocko and I disrupted the theater with uproarious laughter as the little fat boy struggled in a vomit-inducing nauseau to stuff his maw full of candy grass. We had also chosen a child at random (Mike Teavee) to pretend we wanted to violently fuck...what a surreal way to watch a film. Any time the homely little simian went into a rage, Klocko and I whispered muffled expressions of lust, often using that old fall back "URRGHH. I'm going to cum." Being a sentimental young man, I got a bit choked up over Charlie's ill fortune and was disappointed that they humanized Willy Wonka. But as I mentioned above, the music was rather neat, using sci-fi blips and bleeps for the factory theme and sitars and psychedelia for the Veruca Salt demise scene.
I bid Klocko and Reggie adieu this morning, missing them terribly as always, and came home to the pleasant surprise of a Princess Tinymeat Herstory LP and Gene Loves Jezebel "Shaving My Neck" 12" in my mailbox.
Hope everyone is dealing with their Summer madness well...I think we're about halfway through, no?

Only five days, eh? Well, we shall have to make sure you recieve nothing but the Most Awesome on your trip. Though you, with your vast plethora of Gemm gems, are likely to snicker at my sad little record collection.

I look forward to meeting you & Klocko. It's my first time attending Drop Dead or going anywhere on my own for that matter. I'm rather excited and nervous at the same time
But could you possible think of a better first trip? I can't!
I've talked to Lakini_malich a few times and he seems like a fine gentleman. I’m looking forward to possibly meeting him also
